» Note: You can only connect one SwimOutlet Team Store to your SwimTopia team site using the SwimOutlet Team Store snippet. For those teams that have more than one store, you'll need to link to your additional store using our Text Area Snippet.

➧ Option 1: Display your "SwimOutlet Team Store" as a New Standalone Page

➧ Option 2: Add the "SwimOutlet Team Store" Snippet to Existing Page or Template (Sidebar) Areas

These options are not mutually exclusive - you can create a SwimOutlet Team Store Page AND display your team store link on any page of your team site (using the SwimOutlet Team Store snippet) to ensure parents have quick access to purchase team gear and spirit wear.

Using the Text Area snippet, you would enter the HTML below to the HTML editor (<>), but replace the "YOUR_TEAM_STORE_NAME" in the URL address with your team store name:

Follow the steps for the option that applies to your SwimTopia site: 

• Option 1: Your Team Site Has a SwimOutlet Team Store Page
• Option 2: Your Team Site Does Not Have a SwimOutlet Team Store Page

➧ Option 1: Your Team Site Has a SwimOutlet Team Store Page

Some SwimTopia team sites already incorporate the Team Store in the header bar with the SwimOutlet Team Store (containing the SwimOutlet Team Store snippet), and Example Online Store (additional merchandise, fundraising, and donations managed by the team) pages nested underneath to guide you down the path of merchandising success!

Both pages are optional and must be configured to be used.

Follow the steps below to create your SwimOutlet Team Store and link your store to your SwimTopia site:

➞ Step 1: On the SwimOutlet Team Store screen, click on the BUILD YOUR TEAM STORE button, which is the link between your SwimTopia site and Swimoutlet.com. 

➞ Step 2: You are now on the SwimOutlet.com website. SwimOutlet has a large database of existing swim teams. The first step to building your new team store is to search for your team. 

If at any time you run into issues creating a team store, or wish to speak with a SwimOutlet representative, you will see how to contact them on their website, or ➞ See SwimOutlet Customer Support.

» Note: You will need a TIN (Tax Identification Number) to receive payouts, but this is not required for initial setup. SwimTopia has no control over the information required to create a SwimOutlet Team Store. If you have questions about what is required, reach out to SwimOutlet directly (1-800-469-7132 Teams@SwimOutlet.com). 

➧ Option 2: Your Team Site Does Not Have a SwimOutlet Team Store Page

Existing SwimTopia teams can create a new page to highlight your SwimOutlet Team Store and can add the snippet to any existing page. 

➞ Step 1: Determine Your Page Setup

If already using the Online Store, we suggest creating a top-level "Team Store" page for your header and nest your Online Store and a new "SwimOutlet Team Store" page (containing the SwimOutlet Team Store snippet) under this top-level header page. ➞ See Creating and Editing Pages

➞ Step 2: Add the SwimOutlet Team Store snippet to your SwimTopia Site

After your SwimOutlet Team Store page is set up, or if you just want to add the SwimOutlet Team Store snippet to your existing Online Store and/or other pages on your site, you will take the following steps:

➧ Select Edit Page Content or Edit Template Content (depending on where you want to add your SwimOutlet Team Store snippet) from your "Welcome..." menu (top right)

➧ Select to +Add Snippet

➧ Drag the SwimOutlet Team Store snippet into your page.

➧ Click on Learn more and create a SwimOutlet team store.

➞ Step 3: Create your SwimOutlet Team Store and link your store to your SwimTopia site

After your SwimOutlet Team Store snippet is added to your team site, follow the steps in ➧ Option 1: Your Team Site Already Has a SwimOutlet Team Store Page above to set up your SwimOutlet Team Store on the SwimOutlet website.

Connect to an Existing SwimOutlet Team Store

Now you can fully integrate your team store with your team site through our SwimOutlet Team Store snippet!

With the setup of a SwimOutlet Team Store out of the way, you can just edit the SwimOutlet snippet on your SwimTopia site. This is done when you're in edit mode (Welcome! menu > Edit Page Content).

Click the pencil icon to edit the snippet:

If you want to highlight your SwimOutlet Team Store you can create a new page on your team site (i.e. "SwimOutlet Team Store") ➞ See Creating and Editing Pages

Or you can add the SwimOutlet Snippet to any existing page or template sidebar on your SwimTopia site, and enter your SwimOutlet Team Store URL into the box provided.

...you'll need to upload a roster in your SwimOutlet account and send email invitations from your account to register for the free membership (saving them $4.99)

Most likely, you will need to do this periodically while your registration form(s) are open. You can send email invitations to your members each time you upload a new roster from within your SwimOutlet account or whenever ready. 

There are two options for generating a roster file:

1. SwimOutlet provides specific documentation on submitting your roster from your SwimTopia site. See ➞ How to Upload a Team Roster List from SwimTopia (best option when you use SwimTopia's registration feature)

» Note: As stated at the bottom of their instructions, only include the parent's email addresses for accounts; do not list email addresses for anyone that is under 18 years of age.

SwimOutlet Team Store Reports

Your SwimOutlet Team Store earnings and payouts will be found within your store on Swimoutlet.com (not within your SwimTopia team site)
