We all know timing systems and people are not perfect. Malfunctions and user error can occur. When this happens, Meet Maestro provides an option for officials to adjust the time values as needed.

Locating the Time Adjustment Form
This form is found within the results action menu (...) located on each lane between the Result Time and DQ checkbox. In addition to the time adjustment form, this menu provides shortcuts for setting NS, SCR and DNF instead of having to recall the shorthand codes.
For more details on the results action menu and other time entry facts ➞ See our Meet Maestro Time Entry Interface Overview article.
Using the Time Adjustment Form
When you access the Time adjustment form, you are presented with information for all lanes in the heat. This is because (a) sometimes a malfunction can affect the entire heat and (b) sometimes you need to compare all times for all lanes to determine how to resolve the issue.
➧ Primary Actions
- Add manual watch times
- Select an option in the USE column (Pad Time, Backup, Watches, Manual)
- Ignore backup times (strike-through)
- Add notes to keep a record about why changes were made
➧ Ignore Backup Times
If you wish to ignore any backup times, you can click on them and that will display a strike-through.
➧ Printing
The form can also be printed (lower left) for meets that desire a paper backup copy.
» Tip: Print in landscape mode for best results.
➧ Example
In this example below, the meet is using an automated timing system (pads, 1 backup plunger, and 3 manual watches).
The place judge recorded the heat place to be 3, 2, 1 (lanes 2, 3, 4 respectively). The pad and backup times did not agree (lane malfunction).
So in this case they fell back to using the manual watch times. The 3 watches were entered and a suggested result was calculated using watch calculation rules configured when creating the meet.
The ‘Watches’ option was then selected in the ‘USE’ column.
Pressing SAVE will then show the new result time in the time entry interface and all reports.
» Note: This form will be enhanced (i.e. color coding to more clearly designate issues) as we roll out more timing system support. If you have any suggestions, feel free to share specific details with us by submitting an Enhancement Request.
